This page covers what we collect when you visit salomonws.com, what we do with it, and what you can do about it. Written to be read, not to bury things in long paragraphs.
Salomon Web Services, operating out of San José, Costa Rica, serving clients across Canada. Questions about your data go to [email protected].
Information reaches us two ways.
When you fill in the contact form or message us on WhatsApp, we get what you typed: your name, email, phone and message. We use it to answer you and to follow up on the conversation. That is the whole list.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics tells us things like which pages get read, how long people stay and what province they arrive from. It comes to us in aggregate, so we do not know who you are. If you accept advertising cookies, Google AdSense can use your activity to show you ads that have something to do with you.
Turn both down and none of those cookies get written. The site works the same.
| Type | What it does | Who sets it | Can be turned off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Remembers the choice you made about these very cookies, and the language you picked. | Us | No, without them the notice would show up on every page |
| Analytics | Measures how many people arrive, where they come in from and what they read. | Google Analytics | Yes |
| Advertising | Shows ads related to what you are interested in. | Google AdSense | Yes |
Until you accept, Google's scripts load with permission denied and write nothing. That is Consent Mode, and it is on from your first visit.
You can change your choice whenever you want: . You can also clear cookies from your browser settings.
We do not sell your data. The services that handle it for us are Google (Analytics and AdSense) for what is described above, and our email provider so we can write back. Nobody else.
Our team works from Costa Rica, and Google processes analytics and advertising data on servers outside Canada, mostly in the United States. That means your information can be handled in a country whose courts and authorities may reach it under their own laws. Sending us a message or accepting these cookies means you are comfortable with that.
PIPEDA gives you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to see it, to have mistakes corrected, and to withdraw consent. Quebec residents have further rights under Law 25, including portability and the right to object to certain automated processing.
Write to [email protected] and we answer within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can take it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Commission d'accès à l'information if you are in Quebec.
This site is aimed at businesses, not at children. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you think we have, tell us and it goes.
If something meaningful changes, the date at the top changes with it. Worth a look now and then.
We use cookies to measure how the site gets used and for ads. Accept them or turn them down.
